No evidence yet for ultralow LDL-cholesterol levels, according to Michigan researchers

"A new review published in the October 3, 2006 issue of the Annals of Internal Medicine argues that while there is compelling evidence supporting moderate to high-dose statin therapy in patients at high cardiovascular risk, there is no clinical evidence supporting the recommended treatment target of ultralow LDL-cholesterol levels, such as the proposed <70 mg/dL, in high-risk patients."
