Cholesterol Challenge

"Your family history may put you at risk for high cholesterol since certain genes are associated with elevated cholesterol levels. People with these genes can develop cholesterol problems, even when they eat well and exercise. For others, lifestyle factors and diet, such as eating high amounts of saturated fats, determine their cholesterol levels. Managing cholesterol is important for all adults, regardless of age or health status. While some risk factors (age, gender, family history) are out of your control, other factors (diet, weight, activity level) can improve your cholesterol levels."
